Why do people seethe about this? Gen 6's thing was Battle Mansion, so they made an entire new island with a lot of shit going on and focusing on it. This was just a callback to the original Postgame island in Emerald which wasn't even in RS.

I haven’t played oras. Is there a battle tower equivalent at all? because literally what was gamefreak thinking when they put this in...?? Might as well just not even acknowledge it in any way and all people would be able to say is “there’s no battle tower” but instead we have this shit that is a constant monument to gfs laziness or maybe its blatant disdain towards the fans. Just comes across as a weird/stupid decision overall to me, I dunno.

that still doesn't really answer the question though of why exactly they decided to put the “battle tower project” sign in the game. its like salt in the wound, rubbing it in. lol literally it seems like they are communicating a “fuck you” to the fans. I understand why they don’t bother putting effort into the post game but why even put that sign in?? surely somebody at gf was like “hmm this will probably piss some people off”

I'm not one of those "everything after gen 5 is bad" kind of people but I don't think battle frontier will ever come back unless maybe they do an Emerald remake but and Emerald remake also seems unlikely
