this is Smash DLC on the second season, where as SwSh DLC had nothing prepared before the release of SwShit, which was when the DLC was started.
that's opposed to Fire Emblem where IntSys were able to give Sakurai a development demo of the game to figure how to represent Byleth.
if they HAD to go further back for a Pokemon with an existing Gigantamax design, it would have to be Toxtricity. But we know TPCi forgot to shill the damn thing, so i rather not bet on it.
