Seriously can't express how great the empoleon and ttar are. I see em all the time and say it all the time, but they're just incredibly comfy cards. It's not so much the urshifu rapid strike is bad it's just way too crowded. The card simply doesn't have enough space to compliment the art and the already crowded card has text and lines all over it. It's just too much

I only really started to care about my cards having value when the whole pokémon card boom happened on youtube and I realized “Hey, I have a bunch of cards that I never really used as a kid that could be worth something”, so I just went through a few of them and found some I felt might be worth something. The squirtle in the middle arguably has the worst damage, with the edges being a bit rough at the top, but the two other cards look decent to me.

If you're here for the money just look up grading criteria for cards; and understand that unless you have cards printed before 2004 that are holographic and in good condition, you pretty much need very select cards if you want value. Look up each card you have by this: " name, card-number/set-number, non-holo or holo or reverse holo ". Taking that in consideration with the grading criteria (seriously, look that shit up) search for cards that are listed in that condition. Take about 15% off whatever the average listing of that card is in that condition and that's you fast sell price and approx value if the card. Anything other than, just take the time to figure out on your own. It's not hard, just don't be in a rush.

Yeah, and I also care about these things sentimentally too, so I would prefer waiting a while to see if my cards jump in value at all. However, I do have duplicate boxset Darkrai and Mewtwos that are in practically perfect condition because they’ve lived in their boxes their entire lives. But in all seriousness they have binders that hold jumbos or you can use jumbo top loaders.
They also have photograph sleeves (I forget the particular dimensions but just measure or use Google) so you can sleeve before putting in the jumbo top loader.

What is your experience with sites like TCGPlayer and Toad and Troll with their condition listings, are they accurate? I've never risked buying from a place where I couldn't see pictures.

I use tcgp all the time and so far, out of about 25 cards, one was in worse condition that stated and it was this one right here. It's still technically nm so I can't complain because it could've been worse. I'm using troll and toad for the first time so we'll see what happens. But as it goes, I'd recommend tcgp and I'd say just buy from sellers that are verified or have a lot of positive ratings 98%+

Thank you. I just picked cards that I liked that weren't ridiculously expensive. I'm not going to pay absurd prices for these, but there's enough that look cool that are reasonable that I can build a nice collection for myself.
