Superiority complex. Most likely because of pic related.
He doesn't care if the employees of TPCI and GameFreak suffer. As long as he gets new information to cover then that's profit for him. His word is absolute and considered to be somewhat official in his eyes even if it directly contradicts what his overlords say.
He's stated that the BW2 manga going on hiatus was a creative decision and not from burnout, even though Kusaka himself has stated that he was incredibly burned from the rapid released schedule from XY to ORAS to SM.
