Before gen 6, which was the golden age for bugs, most if not all bugs were shit.
With gen 6 however they started boosting bug types, mega beedrill, mega scizor, mega heracross, mega pinsir and of course the generational bug vivillon, which is among the best in its type, both in terms of design and competitive strength.
gen 7 too was good for bugs, golisopod, ribombee, vikavolt, araquanid, pheromosa, buzzwole, all good.
gen 8 was...kinda meh, centiskorch is nice but frosmoth falls behind and ofc not gonna talk about the shitty ladybug.
