They're not nearly as bad as /vp/ says but its clear that the gen 1-4 sprite animations were rushed compared to the gen 5 ones, which is fair enough because a lot of people wouldn't even see the past generation mons until B2W2

gen 5 sprites are a jumbled mess 90% of the time. gf couldn't even be bothered to properly animate them.
