It's a very fairy-ish and girly thing to dislike being touched by dirt, or associate with anything icky and gross. People don't usually think of disgust sensitivity as a major branch of human psychology, in the same vein as sadness or extroversion, but it is. Being easily affected by disgust is a very real and fundamental trait, and you frequently see it in fairies in media.
It's not often really remarked upon in pokedex entries that Fairy Types are prone to be disgusted by things, but it's just sorta obvious. They DON'T explicitly state it, but it's just kinda clear anyway that that's what most Fairy Types are like. It's easily inferred.
For one, they're weak to Poison Type. Yes I know that's primarily because fairies are weak to poison in ye olden lore, but nonetheless the Poison weakness paints them as beings who like staying clean and pure. It implies they are weakened by corrupting forces that ruin someone's purity. In other words Fairy Types don't enjoy coming into contact with vile disgusting things.
I ain't gonna dig up examples but there's several Fairy Types like Sylveon with an emphasis on sensitive emotions and tenderness. They're compassionate, soft, clean, metaphorically and sometimes literally sweet. Creatures with an emphasis on purity like this are easily affected by disgust. It does not need to be spelled out to be evident. Sensitive and pure lifeforms are by definition sensitive to pain and to having their purity ruined.
