Each one ruined the game.
Of course Megas are the most sensical and most tolerable in the context of the game's concept and mechanics.

Nevertheless my vote is None, with a not close second Mega Evolution.

Megas. They weren't perfect, they were terribly distributed, but they were still more fun than:

Megas needed some sort of sacrifice or drawback for them to be used more tactically since nearly every Pokemon with a Mega would go Mega the first turn its out without a thought. Like the only exception I can ever think of was Lightningrod Manectric in doubles so you can get a Sp. Atk boost from an ally using Discharge and then next turn going Mega. Megas should have had an HP sacrifice a la Belly Drum and then they should have lasted 5 turns after that. Not only would that have balanced out Megas a bit it would also fit in with the lore of "oh Megas are literally dangerously overclocking your Pokemon to the point of insanity".

they all suck and gimmicks have ruined the series. 'gimmicky' is not a complimentary word. attempting to make each gen unique but shoving in some forgettable reskin gimmick saves them from having to make a game unique by making it actually good.

You do realize saying hurr x isnt any type of comparison? they all suck but you were underage when megas came out (or you might still be underage), we understand. I can easily ignore them if they are in a game, extra difficulty for npcs if anything.

I would like mega evolution more if gamefreak turned them into actual alternate evolutions with altered stats.

this wasn't part of the original lore, it was added in gen 7 AKA the gen where they wanted to make people stop liking mega evolution so that they wouldn't cry when it got deleted in gen 8
