Do you really think they would show ALL the starter Pokémon (like they did for the 20th) just to reveal it is a remake of a game that was in the middle of a franchise? Would that really make sense? Logical Thinking.

Umm, yes? 5th and 15th anniversaries were fucking gap years in Japan and 10th and 20th were new gens, so it’s not like DP remakes ‘aren’t significant enough’ when the last two ‘something-fifth’ anniversaries have been fucking nothing

DP even has the benefit of being an anniversary game itself

They're featuring the starters in other places, like Go's regional events. Also, there's a good chance every starter will be somewhere in gen 8 after the DP remakes since the last few remakes have included older starters as post-game gifts.

Anon, they didn't start a new Gen with a remake, the fact VGC for 2018 was on 3DS in Alola also cuntermands whatever point you thiught you were making.
It launched in between Gen VII and Gen VIII, therefore it's a Gen VII game, because a new Gen hadn't started when GF released it.
