I wonder why the devs completely changed the names of the cities and gym leaders from Italian to English. It had a wonderful reference to the zodiac signs and plants/herbs and ending in Mt. Zodiac.

As long as it's in the game files it should be moddable. I don't know how to do it myself but it seems simple enough if you know how to work in RPGmaker/Essentials.

Why are the real Eldiw starters so ugly? They feel like an afterthought rather than being designed with the care of a typical starter (even counting the Trishout-Shulong-Shyleon trio), and it kinda reduces the fun appeal of only getting the true starters post-game IMHO

Italian here, I'm guessing it's because they wanted the english localization to feel 'official' in terms of the kind of names given, as the italian names lean heavily on the quirks of the italian translation of the games. Losing the theme naming of the zodiac signs was a shame, though, especially with the heavy star motif of the game.

I feel like the devs knew that no matter what they will make for starters, people would hate them so they made legendary starters as a new concept and just kept "true starters" as a postgame reward. It's fine really, I just hope they'll make them available earlier via Mystery Gift so you can actually have them for league without cheating.

I like them thematically though. The legendary starters are designed in the gen 1-5 style which fits with the gen 5 feel of the game whereas the actual starters are designed in the gen 6-8 style

The banana bat is a genuinely good design though

You'll be able to catch them once you get to the Xenoverse with 100% encounter rate. Make sure you catch all you need though because you won't be back there again.

Can someone check if you can't indeed have Scaleon/Sylveon with these moves and sound pledge?

I've tested and restarted few times and it seems that no matter the order of moves, it always defaults to Eevee with all 3 pledge moves evolving into Bandeon and yet in Battle Condo there is Sylveon and Scaleon with all the pledge moves as well. It can't be random and I just had bad luck, can it?

So I checked the files, apparently there's a remixed theme for Kanto wild Pokemon theme, even though we never actually get to hear it in-game? Perhaps plans for a future update with more KANTOOOOOOOO?

You can go into Kanto but you can't face any wild Pokemon, that's what I'm saying. They have a wild Pokemon theme even though you can't face any, so maybe they're planning on expanding the Kanto area to more than just Vermillion.

You need it to battle Celebi in one of the Dielebi shrines. It's lv. 80 for some reason.

If megas will ever come back in mainline games, I'm pretty sure this game will get celebratory update adding this and Mega Dragonite back in. Seems like they didn't cut Mega Weavile and Suicune only because that would mean cutting two important ace Pokemon from two important trainers.

Mewtwo and the legendary dogs all have a retro sprite implying they're gonna be retro encounters in a future build. Interestingly, though, Mewtwo doesn't have animations for the "modern" self
Also all gen 1 and gen 2 Pokemon have sprites and animations in the game (along with their respective mega evolutions), but from gen 3 onwards there's a strict selection of Pokemon per gen

What I'm more interested in is that does Gorochu and other betamons have a non vintage sprite. I know Wolfman, Bombushka and electric tiger are in this.

Also to the guy who mods in early true starter encounters, can you try modding in early dielebi gift at low level? For two reasons, one being allowing people to easily get postgame legendaries without roaming and two is I'm curious does it need to be fateful encounter Dielebi for stuff like mentioned shrines and Pichu zone to work. Because that would actually make Gorochu something considerable for teams. With cheating, but nonetheless.

However, Dragalisk does NOT have a back sprite. In its number, there is a Ditto backsprite instead.

Anyone who wants to check the sprites for themselves can go into their Xenoverse folder > Graphics > Battlers

All Pokemon up to 700+ should be gen 1-6, gen 7 are categorized as 1000+ for some reason, and then all the new Pokemon follow from gen 7's last (which is Mimikyu I think)

Sent out into battle, he appears in the form of a Ditto. Stats are the same, moves are the same, ability still activates.

It appears like the devs have no plans to make Dragalisk catchable or they still hadn't worked out how to portray his huge size in battle format so left his sprites for an update later

Seems like Mewtwo's role was still in development/scrapped. This is how he appears in the party menu, in the individual menu and in battle. No dex entry, retro sprite, normal sprite in battle. Very bizarre. Perhaps they scrapped him in favor of Mewtwo X? Or decided to leave retro Mewtwo for a future update.

Alright, I've done all I can. Mega evolution isn't implemented in the game (for the player) yet, neither is Dragalisk as a playable mon, but all the other unobtainable mons have dex entries and are battle ready.

I looked around in the scripts as well for the postgame. The script on Mt. Zodiac with the nurse blocking the entrance saying the cardinals are in a meeting doesn't have a variable, which means there's no way to change it. The lady blocking the cardinal's home in the ice village also has no variable, however, the actual temple leads to an entirely different map, which is at the moment.... blank. Same thing with the cardinal temple in the fire mountain village. HOWEVER, in the primal town, the cardinal temple interior is already mapped out (because there was an event inside earlier in the game). There is an event for this Raikou wall, which when triggered seems to open.

So presumably the next update will involve the ending of the cardinal meeting on Mt. Zodiac and the return of the cardinals to their respective temples, whereupon you will be able to find and capture the legendary dogs perhaps. There's a remix of the legendary dogs theme in the files, they have pokedex entries and they have mega stones in the game.

Well I'm done searching around, can't seem to find much else.

if you mean X Roserade, it isn't grass type, it's sound/poison.
I guess just don't pick Wystearia then, but other than that I agree. The ones you've mentioned + Shyleon, Dodonas, Vesperfum, X Spiritomb and X Cacturne are all some of the best new additions here. Fire also gets some good ones. Water, not really.

Yes, it's one of the few easy errors/crashes.
Other two are redeeming mystery gift before having starter receiving starter and having it in your team and occasionally "killing doorframe" of Pokemon Fan Club, where I recommend saving before entering it.
For now just avoid the achievement tab, but appearently fixing typo in the files fixes this issue.

Nature hunting X-Ponyta was also painful because I realized halfway through that Synchronize doesn't fucking work.

You can do it yourself
>download RPGMaker
>start new project
>copy everything in the Xenoverse folder to the new project folder, replace all the folders in the project with the XV project
>open project
>place new event where you want to receive the new Pokémon
>add following script >>46283298 just replace TYRANITARX with the Pokémon you want and 20 with the level you want
>save changes and play game

If course then you'd end up with two versions of XV but presumably you can just copy the project folder back into the XV folder and replace and then you'd end up with just one again

Samefagging for a second, I just wanted to say I figured it out myself in case anyone had the same issue. Turns out the file that was "missing" in the data folder was named "PokéWES" with the accented e. Changing the filename to a normal e got the game to run.

However, I've got a new problem. In the opening cutscene, the starter Poke Balls were invisible for me, though I still picked a starter fine. The bigger issue is that the first Pokemon Center seems to exist in the void. I checked other buildings around Hadwarf to see if they were like that too and they're fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Replying to my own post, uhhh, I figured out how to edit encounter data eventually. It is indeed 1% and I just have astronomically bad luck. If anyone wants to make themselves a really good EV training spot or something, encounters.txt can be edited in the PBS folder without even needing RMXP, but the program itself is nice for cross-referencing maps if you can't read Italian.

If only there was a TM that allowed you to teach Sunny Day or something.
I had my rexquiem learn Sunny Day and that made it so I could survive all possible one shots (otherwise weather ball 1HKOd me on said rexquiem. This was while it was a couple levels lower. Hurricane also inherently misses sometimes which is nice. Was able to chunk it down while spamming Hyper Pots after every hurricane or every 2 weather balls. Not sure if pressure has an affect on wild mons either but if so that probably helped.
Its a game changer if you can just change the rainy weather. Also obviously paralyze seems the safest since it gives you more free turns but toxic stalling is always another option.

I actually did think of Sunny Day, the problem is my starter is the only one who learns it and is weak to 3/4 of its moves. Same thing with my Thunder Wave user, it dies too easily, I also have 3 Rock Tomb users but even if I get one off it's still faster. I think part of it just being a bit underleveled with a shit team.

Kind of sounds like it but the easiest solution I would recommend is just get a pecks one nearby and evolve it with a dusk stone and then level it a bit. Or just train your team up a bit more to hopefully be a bit faster/survive the 1 shots.
Also I just wouldn't waste the moves on rock tomb

Instead of subjecting myself to Yamask Hell, I watched some tutorials and read the wiki and learnt how to make an NPC that can inject Pokemon.
Currently in the process of adding dialogue. I can also make one that changes Natures, IVs and EVs but don't know how to make an NPC do multiple things yet so I would end up making 30+ NPCs.

It looks freshly caught because it is but trust me when I say it's impossible.
Will send screenshots of the NPC and upload changed map data when I learn how to do the dialogue.
I have to reverse engineer from a pre-existing NPC it because the wiki doesn't mention how to do the mugshots that they do in this game.

By the way, confirming this does work at least when I tested it on my Roserade X. GUI showed all IVs at 31 and then with a rare candy, stat gains were all 10+ in each stat which is to be expected at 50 -> 51.

As for Water-type, Pellpper surprisingly has
been an absolute MVP for me so far; I picked a
WIngull expecting to use as an HM Slave but after it evolved and got Drizzle it's been casually sweeping everyone. Also helps that it lets my Rapidash X use Hurricane and Thunder.

From personal experience, yeah. Chigami's pretty trash, but Grudako's a decent enough step up. Right after gym 3 is when you're able to get a Pepequeno, which evolves into Scovile, and a few anons have been raving about it (just make sure you get one with Drought, hidden ability. I can personally recommend Chubiburny and it's evolution Goombear, which you can get in the Volcano area a bit before you fight gym 4. Chubiburny takes a bit to evolve (need to have a Birigiri in the same party when it levels up, Birigiri can be gotten with the Good Rod obtained on Route 8 just before gym 6), but Goombear is a fantastic pokemon. There's also Sosqwatch as an option, but I haven't seen much talk about it yet.

kinda I think but its evolution is alright, it get a steel type Fury Cutter move and can learn Sword Dance. Can also be used as a False Swipe mon if it doesn't have Rough Skin as its ability

Alright I made an NPC that gives you all the unobtainable Xmons in the game at lv 50 (Bisharp, Tyranitar, Scovile, Raichu and the Tapus). He's in front of the Pokecenter in Victory Road. It's endgame so if any anons want to use these mons before the league they can.

Somehow I couldn't change his name without crashing the game and I had no idea how to script it so he stops giving you Pokemon, so if you keep talking to him he'll just give you infinite Pokemon. A sloppy job, so if some anons who actually know how to script and want to improve on it feel free to post a better version. As it is, have fun.

If you were reading through my posts, you'll notice that I only learnt Essentials a few hours ago out of spite. I don't know how to do shit like that
Anyways, here's what you asked for. A ghost merchant will spawn between 3AM and 4AM if you interact with the boxes in front of the haunted mansion. He also sells EV-reducing berries which you can't normally get in the game but I would prefer an NPC that straight up resets them. Unfortunately, I can't adjust the price through scripts and changing the txt in the PBS folder doesn't work which is the answer that comes up when I google.

Sounds good, I haven't made it there yet so when I get there I might pick up the Scovile.
As for the name change thing, it might be because the line is so long that RMXP separates them into multiple lines messing up the code.
To fix that you have to use extendtext.exe which is included in the Essentials download pack.

After a bit of fiddling around with rpgmaker after being inspired by you and Chiripe Anon, I took a quick look. I don't think it's the perfect solution, but I tested it real quick myself and I found out a way to make it so that he only gives you that batch of pokemon once. You can check his script in the editor to see what I did, but basically i just used a 'Control Self Switch' to switch him to a state where he just says 'NO MORE FREE SHIT!' and doesn't give you anything.

That base 100 is Sp. Def actually.
The stats go by HP, Attack, Defense, Speed, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def... Then again, base 80 is still kinda high.

That's Vesperfum, evolves from Batnana which evolves from Chiripe. Apparently it was postgame only, so I made a mod that adds a box with Chiripe on route 1 since I really wanted to use it.

I don't think there is an ability for that can do that but a decent False Swipe pokemon is Axew, can be found in Route 12 but it's a rare encounter. There is also the Chigami line but it can be bad since its ability is Rough Skin (it have a hidden ability if you want to try getting one with that instead)

As someone who had it despite +Speed Nature, it's honestly not awful. Keep in mind, it shines best with Baton Passer in the team, because it's a perfect Stored Power user. If you have slow team and you want to make use for the ability it does have Trick Room and also in postgame most things will outspeed it anyways.

Another discovery: DittoX is still in the game's files but was either scrapped or unfinished as of the current build, since he has artwork but they're using placeholder Lucario sprites (as well as stats/movepool/abilities)

I don't know much about Essentials or RMXP so I can only speculate but
Something simple as adding NPCs should be harmless if you do so in areas where major events do not occur as they will not cause softlocks in cutscenes and such. There are also cases where NPCs disappear from towns due to their scripts. In that case, custom NPCs won't disappear unless, of course, you also script them to do so.
Fun Fact: Ishtar city should be safe, though, because the Gengar incident takes place in a different map according to the files.
If an update does occur to the map data, worst case'll be that the modded NPC disappears from the map and we can't add back our modded map data without overwriting the update. If that happens, we'll have to add the NPC back into the updated map or we'll have to share the raw NPC script so that anons can add it in themselves.
