Tempted to buy a 3DS since I can play every Decent pokemon Gen (II>IV>III>I>V) semi legitimate with their emulated setup (which is probably the best idea gamefreak have had in a decade)

My question is, is it possible to trade with yourself and also potentially cheat in all the event items so I can complete the national Dex's?

Im an adult I dont have time for pokemon events, and they never had them in my country anyway

If you inject virtual console for gen 1&2 and use an emulator for 3, and use TwilightMenu to load gen 4 and 5 ROMS. you should be able to configure PKSM to pull pokemon from each game/save file and inject them into gen 6&7, and then send them to gen 8. I havent bought a gen8 game but i injected my launch day pearlmons from my childhood into sun and moon using PKSM. Might be wrong on the exact setup for gen 1-3 but it shouldn't be hard to figure out

you can inject events with the PKSM app
And as the other anon said crystal VC has celebi. You can also download injected romhacks that enable event areas/item while leaving pokemon data and movesets untouched or, perhaps a modded savefile of with events enabled if you cant get PKSM to work. You have a multitude of options.

Have you hacked your 3ds yet? Do that then use google to learn how to install homebrew applications. then download and install PKSM. Its a pokemon game editor thats all it does, its a bank/event injector/item injector
