Massive Smear Campaign Underway

No.46303932 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
So-called "influencers" of the Pokemon community are currently discussing what appears to be a giant smear campaign against the Sinnoh Remakes. Here's what I've found:
>said influencers are worried the Sinnoh remakes might actually be Let's GO because the open-ended gameplay and optional content in those games was tedious to cover
>Most influencers prefer the gameplay style of the Alola and Galar games, since the visual novel-lite structure of those games means they don't have to actually pay attention to what goes on during the campaign in order to review it
>A Let's Go Sinnoh could potentially be forgiven if they include the waypoints on the map that SM/USUM/SWSH are loved for
>If the game proves to have to be less streamlined than SM/USUM/SWSH the aforementioned individuals will rally their following to express discontent with GF
>Many are upset because they have already pre-prepped content releases involving new Gigantamax speculation or no-Dynamax challenge runs, and don't wish to rework their schedules as they had to when LGPE didn't include Z-Moves.
>Some will be vocal about their discontent, others will be more subtle and try to give hints that convey they wished the "classic" style of gameplay used in Gens 1-6 would be dropped for good
TPCI is very cautious about the reception LG:DP will receive. For this reason, they have reworked and re-branded the style to better suit the needs of the current market, something SWSH aimed to do the opposite for. These individual are entirely aware of the kind of influence they have on the general fanbase, and are going to do everything in their power to ensure future games are as stripped down and lackluster as possible. The only way to fight this is to support the DP remakes. Support gameplay over superficiality and gimmicks.
You didn't hear this from me.
