the SWSH background looks like those cringy 2010 graphics, the gradient fucks it all up too.

As soon as I saw these covers I knew we were in a Diamond & Pearl situation: intentionally basic in order to sell the improvements later on.
They knew they were going to sell anyway because first new gen on the new console. They look bland on purpose. Art will get more elaborated in next entries when the initial console hype is dead, to look better in comparison
