They're coping, be careful. They literally cannot handle them being outed as manchildren that want a visual novel instead of an adventure RPG. Half of /vp/ has never even played games that weren't SM USUM or SWSH and think Pokemon was always shit.

You might not like LGPE but it at least has a niche with co-op and whatnot. The open world is just a bonus.
SwSh doesn't have any niche other than pandering to GO-normies and milking shills dry. Even then, the raids and the DLC are just more of the same dull shit. I say this as someone that actually had a marginal amount of fun in the Crown Tundra.

Fuck yeah it is. The game is better than SWSH because it actually gives the player freedom. The artstyle is charming and the game itself is free of gimmicks like Z-Moves. All in all it's a fun time more reminiscent of pre-Gen 7 Pokemon. For what it's worth, Sinnoh remakes will fit the style nicely.

No the fuck it isn't. The game is as lazy as SWSH by virtue only being as free as Gen 1 was. The graphics are shit and the game is filled to the brim with gimmickshit and didn't even use Z-Moves from Alola. The game is a slog and makes me wish Pokemon would have ended after USUM. The game is a fucking disgrace even compared to SWSH for all it's worth.
