It won't fucking be Let's Go style. Let's go was a total and utter flop that basically made Game Freak lose money. They're going to do it in the new style to be like SWSH because otherwise they can't sell Gigantamax plushies
If it's let's go style I will literally jump because I won't be able to take this.. I tried playing through the original DP and I couldn't I'm still traumatized because there wasn't any map to help me get out of Twinleaf town.
They NEED to do it in the SWSH style. There NEEDS to be those map markers...

There's nothing wrong with railroading. Not every single game in existence needs to be open world. Railroading and easy are the two biggest "flaws" that I don't get, like easy or simple games should never exist and how dare they make easy games.

It's fucking stupid and makes the map pointless. There were SO many kids back in the day that couldn't even find their way out of the starting town in Sinnoh because there wasn't a map to show them where they should go. They CANT alienate us like that.
Many people are disabled and rely on the map markers and roadblocks to help them. I don't want to explore I want to play the game!!

Yes they WERE a flop Jesus Christ. They had to make an entirely new map instead of making it like Alola like USUM did. Do you know how much that costs??
Not to mention they didn't even put Z-Moves in which were the biggest money maker for Gen 7. Let's go was a fucking flop and if they do it for Sinnoh and don't add Dynamax Pokemon will die!!
They NEED to simplify Sinnoh and add railroading or else the games will be shit. If there isn't at least a reference to Eternatus the game will lose GF money.

Ehh, it was more a flop because it failed to draw sales (and by extension consoles) especially on a system other series were already setting high numbers for. When SS launched and sold half it's life total in a week and outsold it in about5-6, it was a bomb. Just because Pokémon's bombs still sell 12m, doesn't mean they get accepted, look what happened BW and it only sold 2m less than DP - a complete about-face from what it brought to the table in favour of a more kiddified experience.

But Pokemon was MADE to be a railroading game. Sun and Moon (the first traditional games) started this. You can still customize your team in the games, the only game that doesn't let you do this is LGPE and Gens 1-6 but it doesn't matter because they're spinoffs and not the traditional style.
Pokemon wouldn't feel right without the map markers telling people where to go. The game would be boring and aimless without it and the roadblocks that tell me where to go.

Funny how when Masuda took over, that shit went out the window for a more structured experience (even jumping between open ended gyms #3-#5 in DP to hardlocked progression in Plt, stating confusion with players as to which gym to hit first). Almost as if they don't *want* to balance around open-endedness. I mean, they didn't try in Gen II either.

Balanced as in I get to be overlevelled instead of randomly having a challenge at the Elite Four.
Not to mention how boring and tedious the Johto games were. I tried to play them after my weekly USUM challenge run and I couldn't fucking do it. It was impossible for me to find my way out of New Bark Town because I couldn't find out where the game wanted me to go and there were no map markers.
A balanced game like SM USUM and SWSH don't have these problems. HGSS was an unbalanced piece of shit that is agreed to be the worst games in the series. It's just another part of the let's go spinoffs.

Having comparably-levelled wild pokémon to the trainers nd endgame on the endgame routes anon. the fat it was oen from Morty to Clair was what fucked it, had to keep everything low levelled so people could actually pattern break, but then they couldn't increase those levels when you'd outprogressed them, leaving it a gorrifically grindy experiennce. I'd say most dropped it in boredom, rather then stick it out because holy fuck. I ended up trading half my Gen I team in to roll Kanto, because there was no way I'd be able to grind my Johto ones up in II worth a fuck to use them there otherwise.
