They could easily not announce the new games now and wait until may, but literally whay would be the point of that? This is where the reveal would generate more engagement for the franchise as a whole
Also, they usually announce remakes later in the year because there aren't many exciting new things to reveal before the release date (since it's just a remake and not a new gen), but SwSh's prerelease showed that they can reveal very little about the games across several months and it won't affect the marketing campaign at all
