They could have locked it down like they did with Alola but they didn't.
Instead they made it even MORE open than the originals. That's just stating a fact, how is it shilling?

Even though SW/SH is trash. A SW/SH style game would be more promising than that GO normie shit.

Gen 7 simplified the gameplay beyond recognition, not to mention it was literally created alongside LGPE which was partly the reason why they made Alolan forms in the first place. The removal of the national dex, the over-reliance on Charizard wanking even though it's not even native to Alola... All decisions made because they WANTED to pander to the GO crowd. SWSH went a step further and just shamelessly added raids. Big Pokemon you have to team up to defeat? Literally fucking GO. They didn't do the gameplay any favors either since it's just as restrictive and overbearing as the Alola games were.
It's a fucking travesty. Sure, LGPE has a different style of catching that's remniscent of GO. But you know if they really wanted to push that then they would have just used the Switch's touch screen like a tablet does in GO, right? The rest of the gameplay in LGPE that's "butchered" is more or less just how things were in Yellow. The lack of breeding, held items, abilities, EVs, all because of KANTOOOO, and the candy system is proof since it functions identically like stat EXP albeit more tangible.
They made LGPE because some kids don't have phones, and main-series idiots will buy it anyway to get Meltan for Bank/Home. Most GO-normies ended up just doing the one-time connection to their friends with Switches to get Meltan, and the game lets them do that with as many people possible with no limit.
