Catching should be somewhat of a chore. The catch rates on pokemon have been nerfed and the balls have been buffed. It's entirely way too easy to catch pokemon these days. It takes me like 30 seconds to catch a legendary. That's not how it should be.

Exaggerations don't help your argument. The longest captures I've ever had lasted maybe 15 minutes and those were legendaries in pre-piss easy games which is completely fine and preferable over the current baby mode.

Having to beat the pokemon, keep it in a status, and do the LGPE capture mechanics would make for a challenging capture experience. Which is why GF won't do it and instead keep baby mode catching so faggots like you and >>46327997 will stay happy

How come every retards ideas for how to "fix" Let's Go catching just makes it obnoxiously long and tedious? The purpose of catching pokemon in Let's Go is completely different from the purpose of catching in a regular game. Let's Go games ditch the wild battle aspect because it is built around you catching a bunch of the same pokemon to gain exp and farm candies. In main games you don't need to catch a bunch of the same pokemon, you only need to catch a few to use or build up you pokedex. Removing wild battles made sense because constantly having to battle Pidgey's just to then catch them to farm items and XP is an unnecessary step that adds nothing other than tedium. If you don't like the Let's Go catching that's fine, but don't pretend it is broken just because it isn't what you are used to. Just keep playing the main games and ignore Let's Go shit. Pokemon game doesn't need to bend over backwards to appeal exclusively to you.

You're just agreeing with me at this point. RBY requires more effort than LGPE to stream roll the game. In LGPE, you do nothing. You steamroll the game by default with your starter and even Mew if you got the ball. In RBY, you have to actually search out pokemon that can help you on upcoming encounters.

Sure but every suggestion for what to change completely contradicts what Let's Go is. Every horrible suggestion you make on how to catch poekmon doesn't actually make the games better it just adds extra tedium that gets in the way of catching a bunch of pokemon.

Yes, the rate at which Pokemon flee could be reduced but if you get excellent throws (which isn't fucking hard and can be done consistently even with two controllers) the game is almost TOO forgiving with how it lets you catch shit.

It's genuinely depressing to remember the days of expecting good games out of GF. I remember the build up to Black/White and how rightfully hype I was then getting the game at a midnight release and playing it for 12 hours straight. Well that didn't happen to me. I liked Zelda BotW, FF 7 Remake, Mario Odyssey, and Smash Ultimate. Sure, they aren't the best games in their series but still very good. Dragon Quest has been going on for 3 decades now And DQ11 is easily the best JRPG I've played in years.

Meanwhile Pokemon hasn't released a genuinely great game since BW2. Gen 7 was solid but definitely signaled the death of the series. This isn't a problem with all games, just Pokemon. Talented devs still exist, they just don't work for GF.

I've never expected anything but a kid-focused game since Gen II dashed hopes of improving on Red for me. But while I know they aren't changing what they do, doesn't mean I can't still enjoy it (which I do) because I understand not everything around me HAS to be made exclusively for me. OTOH, I lost interest in BL3 around the time they announced their epic deal and since haven't cared to seek out forums, discussions or even play the past games because it's dead to me. I was a kid once. I played gens 1-5 before I was even a teenager and never had a problem with their difficulties. Now the games are aimed at fucking toddlers. You have to actually try to game over in gens 6-8. Even the battle tower in SWSH is easier than the battle trees in USUM. The games just keep getting easier and easier for no fucking reason.

Kids these days play games much easier than pokemon. They don't need these games to be piss easy.

Gen 5 literally had a hard mode you dummy. That challenge mode actually is more challenging than every pokemon game that came after it.

Gen 7 was solid though and the only outlier. It had actual difficult boss battles and the battle tree actually was challenging. Then Gen 8 came out, turned boss battles into piss easy dynamax raids, turned the battle tree into the bland and stupidly easy battle tower, and that's without mentioning how much easier the base game is compared to Gen 7.

My point is the games have gotten progressively easier and you're delusional to disagree.

This. People who say the games were all the same piss easy as they are now are 100% delusional or zoomers. I went back and played Crystal, and I was constantly under leveled and only beat one or two gym leaders by pure RNG luck. Even Platinum which I'm playing now is leagues more challenging than anything I've played in the past several years. No, they were never "hard", but when even fucking Gardenia nearly beat me, I realized the pre-3d games at least required a functioning brain to play, whereas nowadays I just let my cat beat the new games for me in between his ball-licking sections.
