Thanks to the more mature story, the abundance of cutscenes actually serve a purpose. Meanwhile Gen 4 just won't leave you alone. Sure it's not as bad by today's standards, but compared to Gen 1 and 2, and even Gen 3, the game just won't let you play it. Gen 4 was only really good post game. Meanwhile Gen 5 was a legit good story that I enjoyed working through, AND it had a solid post game.
