>>46333537Retrospective make us value them more. When it was released, I personally did not like Black (literally dropped it before finishing it - though I finished it years later) but grabbed White 2 five years later and I think they got everything right on that one.
Most hate comes from people that only played the first games and I think it's OK, it has some great designs but also some (and a lot of) the worst of the whole series. Also, even if they're not good or bad, they have a really different style from what we have been seeing so I can see how it took people time to get used to them. I've heard longtime Pokémon fans call it "uncomfortable" and I totally get it if you started on Gen 1.
Most people that love them are the ones that grabbed the second version and saw how much they polished the whole thing. But its really likely that if you hated the first games you were not going to grab the second ones (like I did back then), so you're not going to know this.
What I'm trying to say, is that it shouldn't have taken a second version to make the games to make them actually good. But when you grab Black/White 2 is, in my opinion is one of the best games of the franchise. So both opinions are right, though based on different games of the franchise*
*some 2003 faggots going to say "BUT I LOVED BLACK 1" and yes, because it was your first or one of your first games. Nostalgia doesn't count as an argument. sorry.
