Why put arbitrary deserts and tundras in northern France when the South already has a somewhat dry climate and France has like five different mountain ranges? Corsica is also gorgeous, would have been perfect for a little postgame area. Hell, they could have even included some of France's oversea territories for some jungles and volcanos. Instead we only get northern France and even then it's not well represented. Where is my kino mining area in Nord-Pas-De-Calais? Where are my rolling plains and fields of wheat in Picardy and Normandy? Why is Britanny so fucking sunny?
The only thing cool Kalos has going for is Paris being in the middle of the map, but even then it feels greatly underutilized. At least the mons Kalos introduced are surprisingly good looking for the most part, though only few feel like they were inspired by anything French related.
