Won't happen. They gotta put Galarian forms in somewhere and there are some for Gen 5 mons.

Why do they need Galar forms? I'm positive they will limit it to the regional dex, just like LGPE.

LGPE did it because of Kanto-autism, not because it's inherent to LG.
Meanwhile, we do know that the regional variants were originally made in Alola to supplement LGPE only having the 151 + Meltan. That's why all of them are either Dark/Ghost/Dragon/Steel since those are the types Kanto was lacking.
