Gamefreak says shit like this but I find it so hard to believe they're actually accurate because when you sit down and look at things as a whole it doesn't seem realistic. Like Ohmori would have had direct ORAS while also doing pre-design work for SM for that to be true and if SM went into development before ORAS it means he was working on it before he even finished his directorial test game because no one else is credited as director. None of it makes fucking sense.

Nintendo wanted to move various first and second party developers closer to the main headquarters so they could better support one another. Gamefreak is really going to benefit from the move and the games are hopefully going to improve as a result.

Well since moving these studios closer was Nintendo's doing I think there's likely going to be some level of change. What kind of change that will be who the fuck knows but at the very least Gamefreak's lack of skill can be compensated with dedicated support.
