How is that anything like the original style lol? Gen 5 and earlier didn't dumb down and simplify the art style to appeal to children. They actually had detailed sprites.

They are making an open world Pokemon game though, so actually no. This is just temporary nostalgia bait, while Gen 9 is going in a different direction.
