Like, I want, WANT Legends to be the game that makes Game Feak finally take the next step of the franchise, but it looks rough beyond all fucking belief right now. The thing is, they still have year, whereas Sword and Shield only had approximately six months form the first actual footage reveal, which makes it at least believable that they could clean it up in the meantime. There's also the question of gameplay, the story, how you traverse the world, etc.
I'm somewhat optimistic about a new game for the first time in half a decade, but that's not enough for my money. I need to see that GF both has what it takes and is willing to go all out in executing what they need to, even if the first result of the new "style" ends up with some bumps.
