that's a bit of an oversimplification. "Faithful" and "No enhancements whatsoever" are much different in terms of remakes and what we're getting looks to be a potential downgrade. I'd much rather get the Mario64/sunshine/galaxy treatment than what was shown of BDSP

Wild area was far from the worst part of SwSh, it was empty and stupid, but it was more a tech demo than anything. The rest of the game from the nonexistent plot to empty towns and soulless gym challenge was much worse to endure. Taking everything except wild area out and adding in an entirely new formula is exactly what pokemon needs

Wild area was implemented poorly because it was a new idea that took up too much time in the main-line game's development cycle, but having it be the main focus and the rest of the game being built around it gives me a little bit of hope. this is still GF
