I haven’t touched a game since moon. Never played gen 4 and thought I’d hop back on for the remakes. I’ve changed my mind and now fear for what they will do if gen 5 got remakes.

Because most people interested in sinnoh have been crying about remakes, not a rerelease. Gen 1 got them, gen 2 got them, and gen 3 got them, and now gen 4 fans will get theirs. It's not what they wanted, but now GF can say they did it, and it's done.
