The pokemon have different elements that make them up, in the case of the Delphox line, Delphox's base is a wizard and a miko with elements of Renard, in the case of Braixen a little witch,a Japanese student with her seifuku with magical girl elements.
But I honestly understand that they choose Typhlosion line for popularity, but it contrasts too much with Pokemon whose theme is more focused on a human activity, while Typhlosion being an old Pokemon still retains the elemental beast theme.
