I'm actually cautiously optimistic about the Legends series, since it's a step in the directions I've always wanted the series to go, and choosing Sinnoh is actually solid choice since its steeped in lore and myth, home of the canonical creator pokemon. They know it too, making him the Box-Art monster.
I've always said that Pokemon as a series needs to evolve the experience over just jamming new content into an old formula, and we're finally getting it, as clumsy as it is, ALONG SIDE a 'faithful' recreation of the original game, so I frankly don't see how we can lose as long as the experience is solid.
I think we should encourage GF when they push for things that will help the series grow over stagnating, and with Gen4 as one of my favorites in the roster, I'm proud they went with it to herald a positive direction.
Yeah, the graphics are crunchy, and the FPS shit. GF can't do open world backgrounds on level with Monolith, but I do hope they put more effort into polishing it and continuing to make its experience stronger. It's a 2022 release, a year down the line to keep making it better, so we can only hope.
Change is always jarring, but I've witnessed even this place settle into it after it's had time to percolate in everyones minds. Even mega pokemon were a system shock, and now I think alot of people miss them. I want my Mega Gallade back. Just give it time.
