Do you prefer playing pokemon on a handheld or on a tv?

I play SwSh on my TV. And transferred all my mons to Gen 8. All the unobtainables are stuck in ORAS forever. Never going back to handheld

With some games you want to play on the tv for the better frame rates and etc, but with swsh it seems they expected most people to play on handheld, which is what I do.

Handheld is better for me because I only play Pokémon either on my bed or having the device sitting next to my keyboard while I do grindy stuff.
The Switch is absolute perfection in terms of mobility, size and the option to play on the TV. Too bad the games are not the best. I was really hoping they announced GB/DS ports today.

Honestly, I use handheld when traveling and stuff but pñayong SW/SH on TV is in a whole different level. There's no going back. Even the last time I played ORAS I played up scaling to 4k with filters and it was beautiful. TV all the way.

Buy a used New 2DS XL and you'll be able to play 3DS games as well. Otherwise, the DSi XL has always been in my wishlist because the scaling/enlargement looks pretty good on the screen.

If you have the hackable version it's just using a jig one time, putting it on autorcm and that's all. It's simple. You'll need a phone with OTG or a loader for whenever you actually turn off your console but with the soft reboots that most CFW support now that's almost never needed.

If you have the new version, you need to solder and you're actually locked on SXOS which is great but haven't updated in a while, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Best thing about playing on switch is not just TV play, but also detaching the controllers means i no longer have to hunch over with my arms stretched out. and before i sleep on those cold nights, i can hold the controllers under the sheets
