I'd rather play Emerald, Platinum or BW/BW2
HGSS are too boring cause of the terrible pokemon distribution and absolute brainless difficulty. Also getting some items like evolution stones is a huge fucking pain in the ass because of the stupid day of the week mechanics. I don't like having to box a party member cause I wont be able to evolve them till next week and the story playthrough isn't even gonna last that long.

BW2 has no competition and people denying it are contrarian.
My personal favourites are HG and Platinum, but god damn BW2 was just great in every single aspect of the game, there was so much love put in the BW series.
