Oh shut the fuck up shill. Games can have different artstyles and still equally look good. Dragon Quest 11 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake look completely different but they both look great. BDSP isn't bad because it looks "different", it's bad because it looks like shit.

I personally find DQ games to be really fucking ugly with some of the worst character and monster designs that good graphics couldn’t come close to justifying how awful they appear so... what’s your point? It looks shit to you and a bunch of other loud mouths here? Genuinely don’t understand why you think your opinion needs to be the loudest or most important

This has never not been a thing, I'm not sure why it's suddenly a problem. Games have always looked better or worse than each other, but it's not like only the best-looking games are the ones that sell. There's clearly more to games than what they look like. If this wasn't the case Pokemon would have crashed and burned from the start, even on Game Boy the games had lousy visuals.

XC2 is objectively better technically (aside from resolution). It has better materials work, modeling, lighting, environment design.

DP remakes look like cleaned sterile upscaled 3ds games.

Whereas Xenoblade looks like a downport game. This is advantage for Xenoblade because resolution bump comes with hardware upgrdades. Whereas DP remakes will be stuck looking hideous.

Morag model here probably has more polygons than the entirety of DP remakes town.

I forgot to add. In short, there is absolutely more work putting into Xenoblade. From the highly detailed models to the environment. It’s just that switch couldn’t handle that game. I don’t think they were developing this game with switch hardware in mind at all that’s why the game has a “port” look similar to how doom and witcher 3 look on switch.

DP remakes has a lot soft shading pillow texture which aren’t real texture work. Overall cheaper and quicker to make.

I might've agreed on the characters and story on a first playthrough, but after going through the game a second time with full context I realised that the game is actually pretty good in those regards too. It's just really easy to miss or forget details on a first run.
