There is fucking nothing in there dude. They didnt even redesign the player characters, its literally just a graphics update that doesnt even look that great. And if there were any new/returning mechanics they would be hidden in the Japanese logo.

they sell it as a remake because its what people want, not what they wanted.
its obvious that their initial idea for a sinnoh game was legends, they just made a half assed port / remaster in case people complained about the absence of a remake.

It's a remake, it's using completely new assets. There isn't some arbitrary threshold for how different a game has to be before it qualifies as a remake instead of a master. A remaster takes old assets and improves them. Sharpens textures, improves lighting and resolution, etc. Learn how to speak English.

Pretty much every remake has redone the map very faithfully though. And whilst this was intentional, Sinnoh also had more detail in its first game so there’s not as much of a need for redesign.

Megas are coming back according to a merch leak. Also, even though these renders were released, we have not seen actual official box art. So new forms (Megas, Primals, etc.) will likely be revealed later and placed on box art.

True. Sevii islands was great and also had a post game side-quest which was neat. I would actually consider FRLG and ORAS at around the same in terms of content added on top of the originals. It's just that HGSS went above and beyond with improving upon what made the original great AND adding new shit as well, which made everything that came after it look lackluster in comparison.

You play DP, then Platinum. Platinum was the definitive Sinnoh experience that massively outclasses DP.
Gamefreak, instead of remaking Platinum like they did with HGSS, which included Crystal storyline, decided to remake DP 1:1 with:
- just slightly better graphics than DP, but worse than its rival, Link's Awakening remake.
- no Platinum storyline since it's "faithful"
- It has a $60 price tag.

TL;DR You are presented with the same game from 2006, but you have to pay $60.... for a game that you played 15 years ago.
I'm not gonna call names or insult you. Think about that for yourself.
