Lets face it. What pokemon fans really wanted was a combination of both. A combination of BDSP and Legends. An open world with everything we love about sinnoh. But they knew they couldn’t do it on time. So heres what they did. They outsourced the remakes to ILCA in to make a half ass decent remake with chibi style and then made an epty game that just showcases some of their progress on the open world format they are trying to build. What this showed me is that yes. GF is trying to give us that open world experience but they just were not ready yet. Gen 9 however is going to be great. And this is a great step forward in the proper direction.
