The new remake looks so shit it made me respect SwordShield a bit more.

SwSh had custom normals and shadow mapping done to all Pokemons to make the light they reflect appear in the proper place, while this new game seems to be using the disgusting rim-lighting HOME uses, for both monsters and human

swoshi has a completely fucked level curve and some graphical dodginess (to put it lightly), but it's really not that bad. Customization is great, camping is great, most of the non-core gameplay elements are fun or charming, but it's all let down by the utter lack of difficulty in the campaign.

Here's my theory:

For a new game they just come up with a couple of fappable characters, take all the code from the previous games (pokemon 3d models too) and outsource the rest to some amateurs.
