>>46389748It feels like the universe is getting too wide, as opposed to deep. Legendary creatures used to feel legendary, the world used to feel like you were in the age of exploration again, where every new island or continent would come jam packed with new wildlife to see. It felt more slice of lifey. Over the years it’s all followed the same damn predictable formula. Some shadowy group seeks out some “super cool legendary mcguffin. tm” to fill some evil goal, each time the stakes get raised, from birds, to beasts, to the living embodiment of time, space, blah, blah, fucking blah. It’s the same fucking dance on a bigger stage, and after a while it makes the stage look like cheap shit. Who cares about a “God of Pokémon” when it’s just another rung on the power ladder? They need to take a step back, take a deep fucking breath, and bring things down to earth a bit. Focus on the stuff that made the series popular in the first place.
