Someone explain why BDSP is $60. If its a 1:1 remake, they should be content charging the same price they did for the DS games.

First, because the standard game price back then was USD 40 and now it's USD 60. It's a industry standard and it's in talks to get it up to USD 80 so there's that. You can google this, as there have been different standard prices in history.

Second, let me introduce you to the concept of inflation. USD 40 back in 2006 it's more or less USD 52 of Feb, 2021.

You're not going to get a Pokémon game for less than that, ever again.

Coming from someone who won't buy the game it seems like we might be wrong about it being a 1 for 1 remake, probably will have Platinum episode, megas, and just other small stuff that fans have missed for a while. With all of that in there it may be worth it? desu I feel this and Legend were poorly introduced giving LITERALLY NOTHING in information on each games...it makes me hope for more info soon

They know people will pay that much. This is nothing new for Nintendo, they've been on a kick of charging way too fucking much for ports, remasters, and remakes, knowing people will eat it up without a second thought. Just look at Skyward Sword HD. At least these are actual remakes with new assets.
