Why do people think that mega evolutions are going to be in BDSP bcus of merch listing when one of the figures being listed is Zygarde. Go on tell me where Zygarde fits into diamond and pearl

All of these Pokemon are in Sword and Shield except for greninja who is incredibly popular due to having been one of Ash's ace Pokemon in the XYZ anime for several years. greninja merch will sell all the time.

Why are there no Megas in this set then? Why wait until the BDSP promo to start making Mega figures?

By this same logic, Megas could still be in and Zygarde could be the odd one out. The initial picture supports this as 99% of the pokemon featured in the picture are in Sword and Shield. So, if 99% of the pokemon featured in merch get into the games then all but one of the listed figures would be in BDSP. This would still leave one Mega in.
