There's a function for resetting the RTC in RSE that is only accessible with a save editor. You can press Left + Select + B and it'll give you a menu similar to the GSC reset feature.

didn't english FRLG have blue text for males and red text for females? i guess that's how they decided to port that over. it always seemed weird to me since no other pokemon game did that.

This one I always thought was kinda neat. In Gen 1, the animation after an attack for whether the screen shakes or the Pokemon flashes is determined by whether or not a damaging move or not was used, and also if the damaging move has an additional effect or not
And this after-attack animation still applies even if battle animations are turned off

Damn, I never would've noticed that but it's cool to see it laid out so matter-of-fact. That screen shake leading to barely any HP loss was a nice touch.

Text and graphics for dlc berries were stored in SRAM in R/S so it's possible to make a Pingas Berry and put it on a real cartridge.

Using a Japanese game with an English game to make PokeBlocks displays both the Japanese and English texts.

Ribbon names, descriptions, and graphics were all separate from each other in Gen 3 and were stitched together by the game on the fly, theoretically making it possible to have a custom ribbon on your Mons.
