there's no reason why they can't add new pokemon to areas, either. just one per route/encounter table would be enough

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but what's the difference between the maps there? I mainly played Platinum so I couldn't tell you if it was different in DP.

Fire types are garbage regardless. Chimchar was one of the better fire starters and that's not saying much in the current gen with all the mechanical changes over a decade.

Fire really has some of the worst designs in the series. You can add torkoal, slugma, and numel for even more fire types and I still wouldn’t want to use any but infernape.
