/vp/ newfag here. Is this board always invaded by crossboarders when new games are announced? I’m pretty excited for them despite some worries, but I’ve noticed that this place is a lot more negative than usual

Yeah when something new gets announced our degeneracy levels go up quite a bit. It is still usually pretty negative here though.

Every leak season has always had a lot of tourists.
I've been here since b2w2, and it gets crowded after they announced XY, ORAS, SM, and so on- a new thread every few minutes.
Otherwise nothing in this board moves except generals like /pmg/, /padt/, or specific mon/waifu/pokeboy threads.

Pokémon is stupidly popular so it attracts the entire site to this board.
/v/ crossboarders are THE worst. (They're the most vocal atm)
They'll be gone within the week, and then we'll see /vp/s true opinion.
