Mauville City being ruined, Battle frontier getting deleted, being able to skip granite cave, victory road getting casualized and safari zone being a literal route has literally nothing to do with the shit that you've mentioned. Gamefreak could have recreated new mauville just like they did with the rest of the game, they just chose not to because retards would buy the game anyway. Also, shoal cave remained completely the same, so that's further proof that the 3D style had nothing to do with the dumbed down level design.
