GF shills are seriously trying to do history revisionism shit pretending the original 2D pokemon games had a "chibi" artstyle and saying the DP remakes are faithful to the original because the 2D games were "chibi". No they fucking weren't. This way of doing 2D sprites has existed for fucking forever. The top-left game in pic related is an American game from fucking 1975, a good ten years before the term "chibi" even made its way to the west. I could go even further back by finding caricatures from the 1920s. Nobody called any of these games "chibi" for the past 45 years. Oh but suddenly know, this way of doing sprites was actually "chibi" all along! The chibi remake is therefore good because it's faithful to the "chibi" artstyle of the original Sinnoh games, even though nobody called them chibi until the announcement of this remake!
These sprites aren't chibis, they never were and they never will be, anyone pretending otherwise is just a GF shill trying to defend their dogshit remake's artstyle.
