then again, i realized as i was typing that this would make the game a HM slave centric one, which would be cool if you didn't still need to fight. Speaking of which, do we know if the game has full teams or only one mon at a time? For some reasons the trailers give me the feeling that's it's gonna be the latter.
Also, how will they work around all the stuff that was previously handwaved with "technology is amazing"? Like, what happens if you catch too many mons? They can't be sent to the professor because there's no technology for it, same for pokémon centers and pretty much everything else.
