Diamond and Pearl has more content than XY, SMUSUM, and SwSh so even just reskinning it into 3D is more of an effort than developing those

Unfortunately, even if they didn't exist, the games would probably still sell well just due to the sheer amount of parents that buy the Pokemon games for their kids just because of its reputation as a kid game, that's the reason why the games have become stupidly easy because kids are a major Nintendo cash cow.

At this point I'm pretty sure it's sony shills. Their state of play got almost no attention compared to the pokemon direct so why not spend a few bucks to shit on the competition, easier than actually trying to make good games.

They might not be lazy, you don't know what they mean by "faithful remake", they probably just said that to assure us that no gimmicks are in there? Nah kid, fact is anything GF do is mainline.
I mean this place defended a GOclone as mainline because they came out with spin after reveal saying it. This is mainline, same as Legends moreso than the GOclone even as it's a plain port of the original and keeps the core mechanics intact while the other is a game set in a GF canon region, made by Game Freak.
