With Galar we've proven that fossilmon don't necessarily need to be Rock/X type. However I feel like the fossilmons from the newest generation really were trash. I like the concept of mismatched fossils and the bone wars causing fucked up fossilmons, but am overall disappointed with how it all turned out. I personally hope in the future we get:

>Ice/X fossilmon of frozen creatures found in permafrost
>Poison/X fossilmons of creatures found submerged in tar
>Ghost/X fossilmons of creatures found as tracefossils (footprints, burrows, etc)
>Ground/X fossilmons of artifacts of early civilizations (make them objectmons)
