Also the EXP share is to make it MORE convenient so players DONT waste time leveling up each member of their team. Because i want to use more than 5 pokemon over the course of a 20-30h game. A full team of 6 in DP is 15 levels behind cynthia by the time you get to her if you dont swap team members. How fun, lets take away the incentive not to use anything new as you play.

Exp share overleveling you is a shit system too, but so is the original system in gen 4
