BDSP are faithful remakes of the best games in the series.
Even with the botched art style, they're still guaranteed to be a 9/10 at worst.

Why would speed be relevant when they're not using the god awful gen 4 engine anymore?
BDSP is guaranteed to run faster than platinum.
