It doesn't matter what you subjectively like. No one cares. Talking about opinions is a waste of time. What matters is how objectively good or bad the game is and how we can quantify that using tangible parameters such as texture quality, level design, character development and other such factors.

No we can't, because the games have bad level design, bad writing, subpar visual fidelity and none of the remaining aspects are excellent in any way, just passable at best.

XY were good if you were a competitive autist or a literal child. As single player games they were ridiculously easy and the beginning of the handholding and kanto pandering. Compared to the DS games and GSC, they are forgettable and underdeveloped. I dont remember the names most of the characters and locations. The gym leaders and important trainers were a joke. All the mons look like inoffensive childrens toys. The only reason it gets lumped in with "the golden age" of pokemon now is because zoomers who played this game when they were 9-10 can post here now.

That’s every Pokemon game post-gen 2.

I have a hard time taking anyone seriously who uses “b-but it’s EASY and it referenced KANTO” as a complaint when this is the same series that has a free healing NPC in every town and 7/8 generations use the exact same copy/pasted story progression as Gen 1 for no real reason except laziness.

People complain about the Exp Share, but the only game where it actively detracts from the game is Gen 6. Holy shit the numbers were busted in that gen, if you didn't turn it off you could instantly steamroll everything
