>>46429756Lando's shtick is role compression. It's fairly good at many things, but not amazing at anything. It can be a ground immunity, electric immunity, intimidator, hazard setter, hazard remover, wall breaker, offensive pivot, defensive pivot, knock off user, speed control, suicide lead, etc. Usually multiple in one set. But it's also extremely easy to check. It has a common 4x weakness, poor special bulk, and no reliable recovery. So not only is accounting for it in team building as easy as slapping Ice Beam on something and calling it a day, but the simple act of sending it out doesn't automatically put you in an advantageous position where the enemy is forced to respond carefully or insta-lose and you're at very little risk. You actually have to be careful to keep Lando alive.
Cinderace is a nuke. Also a pivot and a bit of hazard control, but it just kills what's in front of it. You have to actively dedicate team slots to checking it. Sometimes more than one because very few single mons can check all of its sets and nothing can counter them all. And in the battle itself, once you get it in, the opponent has to cross their fingers and hope they're sending out a counter to the right set
or that Cinderace misses. And Cinderace can just click U-Turn and inflict major chip damage at very little cost anyway. And then get back in for almost free later because HDB eliminates one of its only would-be flaws.
